Positional attack and defence
Positional attack and defence are Organized offense and defense.It refers to a 4vs4 where both parties are ready for each other, starting with kick-ins and clearances.
Positional Attack
Although a myriad of possible formations can be considered for a fixed position attack, the following five are the main well-known ones.
- 4-0(quattro zero)
- 3-1
- 2-1-1
- 2-2(2 pivo)
- 1-3
Positional defence
There are four main types of defenses
- Man-to-Man
- Zone
- Mixed
- Alternative
Of these, man-to-man and alternatives are the dominant DFs in competitive futsal.
Transition
Non-organized offensive and defensive phases.
A chaotic phase in which either team is not ready, which may occur during the transition between attacking in place and defending in place.
It is called transition because of the transition between offense and defense.
Attacking transition
It is important to get into shooting range quickly and finish before the opposing formation is set up.
Defensive transition
It is important to delay the opponent’s attack and allow all allies to quickly withdraw to the ball line to organize the defense and move into the stationary defense phase.
